Irradiation Sterilization Indicator Label

Irradiation Sterilization Indicator Labels use radiation-sensitive ink that undergoes an irreversible color change when exposed to gamma rays, electron beams, or X-rays. The common color change is yellow → red, providing a quick visual indication that the product packaging has undergone the irradiation process.

Principle

The label contains radiation-sensitive indicator ink. When exposed to gamma radiation, electron beam radiation, or X-ray radiation, the indicator undergoes an irreversible color change.

Common color change: Yellow → Red

Application / Purpose

Applied to the outside of product packaging to visually identify whether the product has undergone the irradiation sterilization process.

Usage Instructions

1. Apply the label to a visible area on the outside of the package and ensure it is not covered by other materials.
2. Store in a cool, dry and dark environment. Avoid direct sunlight to prevent false color changes.
3. For single use only. Do not reuse or irradiate repeatedly.
4. Color intensity is for qualitative reference only and cannot be used to determine an accurate radiation dose.
